Trucker Huss, APC is pleased to announce Katuri Kaye has been asked to join a distinguished panel of tax and employee benefits law colleagues to present “Employee Benefits for Dummies; A Simple, Easy to Grasp Approach to Understanding ERISA” at the 2017 National Bar Association (NBA) Young Lawyer’s Division Retreat on February 15-17, 2017 in Trinidad & Tobago.
Kaye was the recipient of the NBA Top 40 Advocates Under 40 Award in 2012. She was also named to the Lawyers of Color 2013 Inaugural Hot 100 List.
Kaye focuses her practice primarily on qualified retirement plans, including defined benefit and defined contribution plans, and plans of tax exempt entities and public schools and universities, including Internal Revenue Code section 403(b) and 457 plans. She counsels clients on the design and tax-qualification of retirement plans and the taxation of employee benefits.
In addition, Kaye assists clients with drafting plan documents, summary plan descriptions and plan amendments; analyzing plan administrative issues; negotiating service provider and investment management agreement; reviewing and drafting qualified domestic relations orders; preparing Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor submissions; and resolving questions regarding compliance with ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code.
