On February 21, 2024, Mary Powell will moderate the Healthcare Compliance panel at the Joint TE/GE Council Annual Meeting. The panel will discuss updates on health benefits, plan design compliance, fertility benefits, mental health parity, IDR and more.
The annual meeting will be held over three days in Washington D.C. and virtually. The purpose of Joint TE/GE Council is to facilitate communication between the TE/GE Division of the Internal Revenue Service and employee benefits practitioners. The Joint TE/GE Council provides a forum for comments or questions to enhance the administration of tax code compliance and overall employee benefits regulatory and enforcement initiatives.
Currently, Mary’s main focus of her practice is assisting employers with the implementation of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (CAA), the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) and drafting executive compensation and nonqualified deferred compensation plans.
