Rudy concentrates his practice in the area of employee benefits, with a focus on retirement and health and welfare plans, working with both single and multiemployer plans. He routinely works with sponsors on plan design, drafting, and administrative implementation. Rudy also advises clients on day-to-day benefit plan escalations, including fiduciary responsibility, Internal Revenue Code compliance, and ERISA’s claims and appeals process. He frequently assists clients with audit related inquiries, including providing counsel on Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor correction programs.
Rudy is a 2024 graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Law. During law school, he interned for Judge Hawk in the Superior Court of Santa Clara County, gaining hands-on experience in legal research and courtroom proceedings. He was also an active member of the Latinx Law Students Association (LaLSA), serving on its board and advocating for diversity and inclusion within the legal community. Additionally, he was an active member of his law school’s First-Generation Advocates program, which aims at helping first-generation students traverse the legal field.
