Jahiz concentrates his practice in the areas of health and welfare plans and qualified retirement plans.
He assists clients in drafting plan documents, amendments, and SPDs; resolving ERISA and Internal Revenue Code compliance issues; reviewing appeals to denied claims; and addressing various litigation matters (including multiemployer plan withdrawal liability).
Jahiz previously served as the Newsletter Editor for the Western Pension Benefits Council- San Francisco. He presents and publishes on issues related to health and welfare and qualified retirement plans. He recently presented on “The ACA’s Uncertain Future: Texas v. U.S. and Other Recent Developments” as well as “Best Practices for Healthcare Plan Compliance” at the University Conference Services Mid-Sized Retirement & Healthcare Plan Management Conference.
